Hopefully it works

Please post info on how to setup proxy ASAP. I own a well-connected machine on the net and resources. Will set up today.
by: tomic, Jun 15th at 12:55 pm
nchar, 10.x.x.x is a private/non-routable network address. you need to find the public IP of the server

setting up a proxy on a Centos/Fedora linux machine:
as root:
yum install squid
edit /etc/squid/squid.conf
change line ‘http_access deny all’ to ‘http_access allow all’ *** WARNING THIS IS AN OPEN PROXY NOW *** (check your acceptable use agreement and consequences if this is prohibited)
If you want to restrict what ips can use the proxy define an acl:
acl TRUSTED src IP/MASK IP/MASK etc. etc.
e.g.
acl TRUSTED src 62.60.128.0/255.255.128.0 62.193.0.0/255.255.224.0 …
(use http://www.countryipblocks.net/country-blocks/select-formats/ if you want to find net blocks for a specific country; of course it will be hard to test this without some helpers!)
then change ‘http_access allow all’ to ‘http_access allow TRUSTED’
start up proxy: service squid start
it will be on your IP, port 3128
if the proxy is open or you added your local machine to the list you should be able to specify the proxy in your browser to test
if you can’t access the proxy, make sure your linux firewall (iptables) isn’t blocking it. open it up if it’s not allowing access. add to /etc/sysconfig/iptables:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m tcp -p tcp –dport 3128 -j ACCEPT
then restart iptables service
cover your ass: don’t run this on a machine that you don’t mind getting trashed or anything copied from; of course there are also some security precautions, i move SSH off the default port and secure it
by: foo, Jun 15th at 2:29 pm
Can you do this with a desktop machine?
BTW- they are starting to take down proxies that are being Tweeted. They may find your site next & then you’ll just be giving them a hitlist. Better to PM the proxies to people you can contact in Iran who can disseminate them more safely, perhaps?

I’ve set up a VM running squid for this.

Hi,
I set up a proxy yesterday which I posted to Austin.
But I think it’s not a good idea to make this public in that way.
Would be ok, if the list grows quick so that the regime could not react. But on the other hand, this list could be used to block the proxies.
by: R.Rusch, Jun 17th at 7:12 am
We all love what you are doing for us from Iran. God Save you all! I hope this will prove to barbaric regimes that there is no way for limiting humans’ freedom in the way they want

China and Russia put the blame on some screwed up experiments of US for the earthquake that happened in Haiti.
Chinese and Russian Military scientists, these reports say, are concurring with Canadian researcher, and former Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief of Forbes Magazine, Benjamin Fulford, who in a very disturbing video released from his Japanese offices to the American public, details how the United States attacked China by the firing of a 90 Million Volt Shockwave from the Americans High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facilities in Alaska
If we can recollect a previous news when US blamed Russia for the earthquake in Georgio. What do you guys think? Is it really possible to create an earthquake by humans?
I came across this article about Haiti Earthquake in some blog it seems very interesting, but conspiracy theories have always been there.
